The Yard is Goin’ Up on a Tuesday

There is only one thing better than #TacoTuesday, and that would be a #TacoTuesday steal. Behold fellow Milwaukeeans – the best #TacoTuesday deal has arrived!

The Yard at the Iron Horse Hotel is bringing you AYCE tacos, two house margaritas, rice & beans, plus chips & salsa for only $20 on Tuesdays 4-7pm. It doesn’t get much better (or affordable) than that.

Executive chef at the Iron Horse, Joshua Rodgers, brings you three variations of tacos – carnitas, pollo, and baja fish. We loved the flavor packed tacos de pollo topped with house made pico de gallo & queso fresco, and the sweet-but-spicy carnitas tacos served more traditionally with chopped fresh onions and salsa rioja. I’m usually not a fried fish person (sorry to all the native Sconnies that love a good fish fry), however the Iron Horse is doing it right. The cod is lightly battered and served Baja-style with spicy slaw. The crunch of the fried cod with the creamy slaw goes hand-in-hand perfectly. I would be remiss if I told you I didn’t love it.

Not to mention, all of these tacos are served on house-made corn tortillas. And whether or not you have an opinion on the type of shell that holds your precious taco ingredients, I’m here to set the record straight that a taco is always better on a corn tortilla.
