A Winter Smorgasbord

It’s often hard pressed to find good events happening in the winter around Wisconsin (hint: because it’s real f*cking cold). However, those behind the Emmy Award-winning television series, Wisconsin Foodie, decided to put on a foodie event for all of us in the midst of our winter woes.

The Winter Smörgåsbord was held at Potawatomi Casino and featured some of the best culinary masterminds from the state along with local artisans. Guests were able to sample bite-sized dishes from local restaurants, cheeses from the heart of Wisconsin’s dairyland and various beer from around Brew City. Restaurants such as Bacchus, Braise, Lake Park Bistro, Bavette, Heritage Tavern and Goodkind were on the bill along with James Beard Award nominated chefs Justin Carlisle, Luke Zahn and Tory Miller.
